Who runs this site
personalizer.pomp.site is run by Igor Pomper, trading as Pomp.site, from Kutina, Croatia. He is the person responsible for what happens to the information described below. To reach him, use the email address shown in the footer of this site.
What this site collects
Very little, because there is very little here to fill in. This site has no shop, no accounts, no comment section and no contact form. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, because there is nothing to type.
Two things are recorded all the same:
- Server logs. Like every web server, the one serving this site records the address you connect from, the page you asked for, the time, and which browser you used. These are kept by the hosting company and used to keep the site running and to look into problems.
- Analytics. How many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they are. This is described below.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file this site asks your browser to keep. This site uses them for one purpose: measuring how the site is used.
- Analytics cookies, named
_gaand_ga_MDPF8DCRDF, set by Google Analytics. They tell it whether two page views came from the same browser. They expire after two years. - A network cookie set by Cloudflare, which sits in front of this site and filters out attacks before they reach it.
- A note you have read the cookie bar. This is not a cookie at all: pressing OK writes a single value into your browser’s own storage so the bar does not come back. It never leaves your browser.
If you log in to the site, WordPress sets cookies to keep you logged in. That only applies to whoever runs the site.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits. It records the pages you look at, roughly where you are, which site sent you here, and what kind of device you are on. Your address is shortened by Google before it is stored, and no attempt is made to work out who you are.
The same measurement applies on demo.pomp.site, the demonstration shop, so that a visit that crosses between the two is counted once rather than twice.
This means Google receives that information and processes it under its own terms. If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that turns it off, and most browsers offer blocking of their own.
Who else sees any of this
- The hosting company, which operates the server and its logs.
- Cloudflare, which the site sits behind, and which sees the addresses of visitors as they pass through.
- Google, for the analytics described above.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is handed to anybody else.
How long any of it is kept
Server logs are kept for as long as the hosting company keeps them, which is a matter of weeks. Analytics data is kept for fourteen months and then deleted by Google. If you write an email, that email is kept for as long as it is useful to have the conversation on record.
What you can ask for
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for it to stop being used, or object to it being used at all. Write to the address in the footer and it will be dealt with.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, Zagreb.
Changes
If the site starts doing something new with visitors’ information, this page is updated before it does.
